The Mexican government is auctioning off luxury goods seized by criminal gangs in order to lend their proceeds to poor people. Various luxury cars are auctioned, including a Lamborghini. The initiative is called the Robin Hood program by the Mexican government.
The recordings were made on Tuesday and show a selection of vehicles that were presented to the public and potential buyers. You can see a Lamborghini Murciélago 2007, a Mustang Cabriolet, some older VW Beetle and various cars of the brands Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Mini. The auction will take place next Sunday. Proceeds from the sale will benefit two communities in the southern state of Oaxaca.
The sale is managed by the newly established Institute for the Return of Stolen Goods to the Population. The idea is part of the anti-corruption initiative of Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
